The Listening Program (TLP) is a music based auditory stimulation program that trains the brain to improve the auditory skills needed to effectively listen, learn and communicate.
It is a safe, effective approach towards enhancing brain function, reducing stress, and overcoming a range of speech and language and learning difficulties including dyslexia, autism, neurological developmental delay and central auditory processing disorders.
Building upon the earlier innovative work and concepts of Alfred Tomatis, M.D., a pioneer in the field of auditory intervention, Advanced Brain Technologies (ABT) developed The Listening Program to be accessible to everyone. In developing this system ABT worked in collaboration with some of the top professionals in therapeutic health, neurodevelopment, education, music and sound engineering. The result is a simple to use, portable, hassle free program that can be used at work, home or in the school.
Recommended by speech and language therapists and the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology (INPP), The Listening Program® consists of a series of high quality CDs that integrate specially produced music, primarily classical, with innovative sound processing techniques that exercise the brain and auditory pathways.
Simply put on the headphones, relax and listen to the CDs for 15 to 30 minutes a day. Depending on the needs of yourself or your child a program will last between 8 – 16 or 16- 32 weeks.
Through consultation a listening program will be devised and progress will be monitored in sessions. TLP can be used in isolation or in conjunction with other MovementInMind programs. The cost of TLP or any other resources is not included in the session fee.
